Okay, folks. I started this image back in November of last year, so sayeth the "created" property on my .psd. Recently I've been increasingly interested in a number of things

has been into, and as a result I dug up this old piece (which was just a soft piece of lineart back then) and forced myself to finish it.
This is Swifty's fursona, Swift, hoping the newly-whippetized Pristine will be her friend. I can guarantee Pristine, usually a wolf-anthro, is just thinking "Okay, I'll play with you... but how will I walk on these stick-legs without them snapping?"
Ah, whippets.

Don't even get me started on the anatomy problems. After fiddling with Swift's shoulder/ribcage for hours (the whole reason I set it aside for so long in the first place), I pretty much just gave up. And I realized Pristine's chest is rather broad for a whippet, as well. I am hoping I got Swift's markings correct (they're supposed to be white, the shading I did turned them gray), and that Pristine doesn't look too far-fetched in her cream and gray (I really wanted to do lavender but refrained).
And you can tell the ball and frisbee were sort of added in later; I needed to fill some negative space.

All-in-all I'm just happy I got it done. I definitely have a bit more knowledge about whippet anatomy; it took a lot of staring at whippet artwork (mostly Swift's, of course) to gain any ground in that arena.

I love both Pristine and Swift's expressions. So adorable! Dog anatomy is really hard for me to do, so I applaud you on doing so well! Especially on a breed that is a little odd and out of the ordinary (and that many people are not used to drawing)!
But thank you for stopping by, and especially for the
Thanks again for the comments and fave
Oh, and I used to watch Swift on my first account, I think...
omg youuuu I didn't know you were drawing me anything, this is such a surprise! I love it though, the look on Swift's face is so playful and sweet, and I REALLY enjoy how you pulled off Pristine's pose. Honestly from this angle the chest doesn't bother me, and to me the anatomy and her pose looks very natural and well done! :3 Thank you so much!
(psssst to get anatomy, GO TO SOURCE, not my arts! photos are the best references since that is how the dogs REALLY are put together and not how somebody else interpreted the anatomy. not to be preachy but that is my rather strong opinion on that subject. ;3)
And I did look at some ref photos, especially for Pristine's pose, but I love your style of the whippets so much that I readily admit I sketched from your stuff more... mostly I love how sleek your muzzles look on the sighthounds, I just couldn't seem to get it from looking at the photo refs! Pfht, I just love your art altogether.
Well I am glad that you enjoy my stuff so much, I just think it's better if everyone refs from the real things first and foremost to build up a strong foundation of anatomy knowledge. ;3 After all that is how I build my own style.
Thanks again!
